03 · Tweens/ teens

Therapy for middle and high school students.

Therapy for adolescents is different from play therapy for younger children and individual therapy for adults. It provides a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental space where tweens/ teens can talk about different parts of their lives without fear of being judged or "getting in trouble."

With permission, I can collaborate with family members, pediatricians, and teachers to support your child and to better understand their behavior, thoughts, and emotional experience. Boundaries and child confidentiality are discussed up front.

Common reasons families come in

  • Anxiety, intense emotions, sleep difficulties, and school avoidance
  • Mood changes, irritability, or withdrawal
  • Friendship challenges and bullying
  • Family changes such as divorce, loss, moving, or blended families
  • Difficulty with self-regulation and executive functioning skills
  • Identity, self-discovery, and self-confidence during adolescence
  • Cultural and identity questions during adolescence
